Two giant playmakers joined forces today and announced a new partnership between the Dallas Cowboys and Nationwide Insurance.

The new sponsorship agreement was introduced by Cowboys owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, and Nationwide Insurance leaders this afternoon. The relationship kicks off on Aug. 24 when the Cincinnati Bengals visit Cowboys Stadium to battle the Dallas Cowboys presented by Nationwide Insurance.

“This partnership provides us with a unique opportunity to show Cowboys fans nationally how we deliver on the Nationwide On Your Side promise by helping them protect what’s most important in their lives,” said Matt Jauchius, Nationwide chief marketing officer. “Similar to the Cowboys quest to be first in everything they do, we at Nationwide Insurance are committed to putting our members first in all that we do.”

Nationwide Insurance also will be active in the Game Day Plaza at three additional home games and will introduce a fan promotion at the beginning of the season.

“Nationwide Insurance is a company that understands our great Cowboys fans because of their strong commitment to the state of Texas,” said Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys Owner and General Manager. “Their regional headquarters is in nearby Richardson, so this is a company that knows our city, our fans and our team. Whether it’s being one of the first on scene when disaster strikes, supporting our local community or demonstrating their passion for sports, Nationwide gives it their all in everything they do.”

In addition to media, on-site activation, branding and hospitality at Cowboys Stadium, Nationwide Insurance has signed DeMarcus Ware, one of the most dominating defensive players in the National Football League (NFL), to a personal services agreement. Ware will be featured in Cowboys-themed radio, digital and print advertising, talking about what it’s like to be protected as a Nationwide Insurance member.

“I’ve spent my entire professional career trying to break through protection,” said DeMarcus Ware, seven-time NFL Pro-Bowler. “Now I’m looking forward to reversing that role by helping Cowboys fans understand how they can better protect the things that matter most to them through Nationwide Insurance.”
