Ms. Sims is Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Energy Acquisition for Washington Gas, which delivers natural gas to over one million customers in the Washington, D.C metropolitan area. Ms. Sims is responsible for coordinating the Company’s regulatory activities, including planning and directing rate cases and regulatory interventions, before the District of Columbia and Maryland Public Service Commissions, the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She is responsible also for natural gas acquisition strategies, capacity and commodity management, and the operation, maintenance monitoring of gas supply facilities for the Company.

Ms. Sims is affiliated with industry associations including the American Gas Association, Southern Gas Association and the American Association of Blacks in Energy. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Bar Association, Washington Bar Association, and Leadership Greater Washington. Ms. Sims also is active in numerous charitable and civic associations.
