Michael W. Triplett, Sr. is President of the U.S. Regional Segment, Payer Solutions, Government & Taft-Hartley for Cigna Corporation. In this role, Triplett is responsible for leading business strategy and overall marketplace execution for the segment, including driving profitable growth, customer satisfaction, promoting quality, and improving medical costs and access to affordable health care – all critical components that support Cigna’s mission to improve the health, well-being and sense of security of the people we serve. His oversight includes 7.2 million customers, $9.8 billion in revenue and 1,300 employees.
Triplett is also responsible for the segment’s local market strategies and total medical cost initiatives. He works with leaders across the company to strengthen and improve Cigna’s local market and national presence. Triplett currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Girls Basketball Association and the Corporate Advisory Board for the National Forum of Black Public Administrators.
Triplett has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from South Carolina State University.
