Taa Grays is Vice President & Associate General Counsel of Information Governance for MetLife Legal Affairs. She leads a global strategic program focusing on the holistic governance and management of information and provides guidance to business leaders to minimize the risk and maximize the value of information throughout its lifecycle.
Grays served as the Chief of Staff to MetLife’s General Counsel from 2010 to 2015. As a member of the GC’s leadership team, she developed and executed Legal Affairs’ strategy and initiatives. She also led a staff of 140 associates providing operational support to the Department; chaired the Legal Affairs’ Diversity and Technology Committees; and was an Executive Member of Legal Affairs’ training Academy.
Grays was recognized as one of 100 Leading Women Lawyers by Crain’s NY Business (2017); Visionary Leader in Litigation by Inside Counsel (2016); Most Influential Black Lawyers by Savoy magazine (2015); R3 – 100: Ready to Rise to become a general counsel (2013 and 2015); and Diversity Champion by the NYC Bar Association (2015).
Grays received her A.B. from Harvard College and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
