Shirell A. Gross, is Vice-President/Head of Law for Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Radiology, supporting its medical device and pharmaceutical products. Gross leads the legal support for Bayer Radiology’s commercial functions in the Americas and for its Product Supply, Regulatory, Quality and Informatics/ Software licensing functions worldwide.
Gross previously was Head of Law for Bayer’s Diabetes Care business globally, responsible for legal support of commercial, regulatory and quality matters. Prior to Bayer, she was with Quest Diagnostics, counseling on commercial, compliance, medical/ quality, risk management and litigation matters. Prior to this, Gross represented health care providers on professional liability matters with Aaronson, Rappaport, Feinstein and Deutsch.
Throughout her career, Gross has been committed to diversity, leadership development, mentoring and community service. She has received numerous awards for her service and frequently lectures on these topics both within Bayer and at external meetings and conferences.
Gross serves on the medical device trade association AdvaMed’s Board Legal Committee and as Vice-Chair of WNET’s Advisory Board.
Gross holds a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University and a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University.
