Nikki Newton is President of Private Wealth Management (PWM) for UMB. In this role, Nikki is responsible for the development and strategic execution of PWM initiatives, including driving service and revenue goals and managing senior leadership teams in the division.
Nikki also oversees direction of the subsidiary Prairie Capital Management.
Prior to joining UMB, Nikki worked at Waddell & Reed in positions of increasing leadership within the investment arena, from president of global distribution to president of Ivy Distributors, a subsidiary of Waddell & Reed.
Additionally, Nikki was a portfolio manager at Scout Investments.
Nikki is actively involved in the community and currently serves as board member for the Saint Luke’s Health System and as secretary of the board of directors at the University of Central Arkansas Foundation.
Nikki earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with a Minor in Economics from the University of Central Arkansas, in Conway, Arkansas, and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
