Troy Nash is a Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank (NKF).

In this role, Nash develops market rate, senior, affordable, and workforce housing. NKF’s 18,000 professionals operate from approximately 480 offices on six continents.

Prior to NKF, Dr. Nash served as a city councilman representing nearly 475,000 citizens. Nash chaired the planning committee, where he presided over the largest economic development boom in the city’s history totaling nearly $10 billion.

In 2014, Nash became the first African American executive to be selected a partner in a top commercial real estate firm in the history of the State of Missouri; shattering a glass ceiling that existed since Missouri became the 24th state on August 10, 1821.

Nash serves on the Regional Board of Directors of Arvest Bank, the country’s largest privately-owned bank and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in Washington, D.C.

Nash holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Wesley College, an MBA, a M.A. in Political Science, and a M.A. in Economics all from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also earned a J.D. from the UMKC School of Law. Additionally, he holds a Doctorate in Education from Saint Louis University.
