Mark A. Crawford is the Senior Vice President, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for bp.
In this role, Crawford leads bp’s global DE&I team, and is responsible for developing and implementing bp’s DE&I strategy, inclusive of workforce and supplier diversity, across the company.
Mark has practiced labor and employment law for nearly thirty years and has previously held a number of senior leadership roles in Legal at bp. Most recently he served as SVP for Legal People & Culture, where he reported directly to the Group General Counsel and was responsible for a global team overseeing the full range of labor and employment legal issues.
Additionally, he has served as US General Counsel, serving as bp’s legal representative on several external committees. He has led the Global Employee Relations and Industrial Relations team in HR, with responsibility for overseeing people-related investigations for bp’s global operations and managing the company’s relationship with trade unions globally.
Crawford is a graduate of Grambling State University with a B.A. degree in History, where he holds an honorary doctorate and a graduate of the Southern University Law Center, where he was inducted into the SULC Hall of Fame.
