Leslie Minier, a Partner and Katten’s Chief Diversity Partner, helps clients in a variety of industries with mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate matters. She advises public and private companies on structuring, negotiating and documenting mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of private and public corporations. She counsels private equity funds investing in, engaging in leveraged buyouts of, and selling portfolio companies.
As Katten’s Chief Diversity Partner and founder of its diversity committee, Leslie has led the firm to wide recognition throughout the legal industry for its diversity and inclusion efforts. She has a strong commitment to public service and has held leadership positions with several organizations including National Association of Women Lawyers, Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, Chicago United, Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women, and the Joffrey Ballet. Additionally, she is recognized as a legal industry leader by publications such as Crain’s Chicago Business and Savoy.
Leslie earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her MBA from Northwestern University. Leslie has an MSEE from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSEE from Tuskegee University.
