Jason McAlpine is Senior Vice President for the Performance Materials business for BASF Corporation.
This business is at the forefront of the much-needed sustainability transformation in plastics. Our products are co-created with customers around the globe to bring innovation to four major industry sectors – transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction.
Jason joined BASF as a product manager in their Agricultural Solutions business and has held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility including M&A evaluations and strategy, strategic controlling, marketing, and most recently business management of the Personal Care Solutions business in Europe. Prior to BASF, he spent several years at Monsanto across various functions.
Jason is a passionate advocate of DEI as well as science education. He is a steering committee member of BASF’s Diverse Leaders Program, the BASF Executive sponsor for our Future of STEM Scholars and a member of the DEI council. He also serves on the Board of visitors at Wayne State University College of Engineering.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Fayetteville State University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
