Gale King is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Nationwide, a Fortune 73 financial services company with 28,000 associates.
In this role, King is responsible for the company’s Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Security and Aviation functions. This includes the development of the HR strategy, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, associate and leadership development, succession management, organizational effectiveness and diversity and inclusion. She also manages the company’s innovative workplace environment spanning more than 131 facilities and approximately 7.5MM SF. King leads Nationwide’s top-ranked security operations and the Aviation department, which has been recognized nationally for its nearly 60 years of accident-free flying.
King is an independent director for AutoZone (AZO) and serves on the compensation committee.
King is active in the community, serving as a board trustee and Chair for the University of Florida Foundation, board trustee for the Executive Leadership Council and co-Chair for the membership committee.
King is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
