Earl Newsome is Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Praxair, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for leading the development and execution of the vision, mission, strategies, objectives, services and operations of the Information Technology group.
Previously, Newsome was the Corporate Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Digital for TE Connectivity. He led the digital transformation by leveraging big data to deliver advanced analytics and growth-driving insights to ensure an extraordinary customer and employee experience.
Before TE Connectivity, Newsome was VP Global Shared Services and CTO for Estée Lauder Companies. He transformed the Shared Services organization into a globally focused group and prepared the enterprise for global SAP deployment.
Newsome has gained extensive information systems experience, including implementation engagements and support requirements that have supported the implementation, development and testing efforts for a major release of ERP software. He has developed training and methodology for enterprise architects and designed global technical infrastructures.
Newsome is active in several leadership organizations, including Knowmail’s Board of Advisors, the Information Technology Senior Management Forum and the West Point Mentor Program. He holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
