Kent is the fund development chair for the Metropolitan Economic Development Association’s (MEDA) Board of Directors and is a member of the Oversight Committee of the Decade of Discovery—a three-way diabetes research collaboration between the University of Minnesota, the Mayo Clinic as well as the State of Minnesota.
She is a member of the Women Business Leaders of the US Healthcare Industry, The Links as well as the Executive Leadership Council—a membership organization of senior-level corporate executives.
Kent holds an MBA in Marketing as well as a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Leadership, both from Vanderbilt University. In addition, she has a BS in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences from Northwestern University and has completed Six Sigma Green Belt training.
