Robert “Bob” Stargel is Vice President of Global Nonwovens, Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Global Nonwovens is over a $1.5 billion dollar sector internal to Kimberly-Clark. In his role, Stargel oversees the development, commercialization and supply of materials used to support Kimberly-Clark’s branded personal health and hygiene products. The sector consists of 6 manufacturing facilities, including 30 different nonwovens machines, a centralized research and engineering team, as well as planning, finance and staff manufacturing operations.
Stargel is on the Board of the College of Engineering at Georgia Tech and Women in Engineering at Georgia Tech, Trustee for the Georgia Tech Foundation and Chair Elect for the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. He is also on the Board of the finance committee for the Georgia Council of Economics Education and the Georgia Ensemble Theatre. Stargel was inducted into the Council of Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni for The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996. He was a Rodney Chip Memorial Award winner for the Society of Women Engineers in 2007.
Stargel has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
