Ms. Lewis is Assistant Vice President, Assistant Secretary and Senior Corporate Counsel with Safeway Inc., a Fortune 50 company. She has corporate-wide responsibility for food, health, safety, consumer protection and labeling issues, environmental and other regulatory compliance and litigation, as well as Proposition 65 (California), commercial, product liability and general litigation. Ms. Lewis is also integrally involved in the development of policy and training, and she is responsible for the implementation of and compliance with consumer, corporate and intellectual technology privacy issues.

She is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Executive Leadership Council and the Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) Board and a member of the Board of Directors of the Oakland African-American Chamber of Commerce.

Lewis is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
