The Coca-Cola Company has named Melanie Boulden as its new senior VP marketing for North America,. She will have an influential role in its critical U.S. market, including advertising related to the Super Bowl and Olympics.
Prior to her new role, Melanie served as the President, Venturing & Emerging Brands (VEB), Coca-Cola North America. In this role, she was responsible for accelerating VEB’s important work as the Company’s futurist group – investing in entrepreneurs, companies, new products and technologies that push thought-leadership and help keep a rich pipeline of innovation flowing.
Melanie has a long track record of challenging the status quo within global consumer goods and marketing companies. Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, she was Global Head of Marketing and Brand Management for Reebok. She optimized the brand’s capabilities to lead a world-class, modern marketing organization and reignited Reebok’s connection to pop culture, fitness and fashion. Melanie was recognized as one of Ad Age’s 2019 U.S. Women to Watch for her efforts.
Prior to Reebok, Melanie served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Crayola where she led product innovation, portfolio management and marketing communications. She also held various management and marketing positions at both Kraft Foods and Henkel Consumer Goods.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University. She was captain of the women’s basketball team and 1994 Female Student-Athlete of the Year. She received her Master of Business Administration from The University of Iowa with concentrations in marketing and finance.
