Senior Vice President, UnitedHealthcare Community & State, UnitedHealth Group

Ms. Johnson-Mills is responsible for state partnership and accountability for one of UHG’s three benefits businesses, UnitedHealthcare Community & State. Prior to this role, Ms. Mills was responsible for the Northeast Region Health Plan Operations overseeing a region of six states serving over one million members, primarily in Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs.

She is a founding member of the UHG Diversity and Inclusion Council and serves on numerous Boards including Medicaid Health Plans of America, a trade association dedicated to enhancing the delivery of health care to the Medicaid population.

Ms. Mills has also worked for a variety of government organizations, including serving as the Director of Medicaid Managed Care for CMS and working for the State of Ohio’s Department of Human Services and Department of Health in various leadership positions.

Mills received her undergraduate degree from Lincoln University – Missouri in Criminal Justice Administration and dual masters from The Ohio State University in Labor/Human Resource Management and Public Policy and Management.
