Ralph D. Reid is Vice President, Corporate Responsibility for Sprint, a company that served more than 54 million customers at the end of the third quarter of 2013. Also, Sprint is widely recognized for developing, engineering and deploying innovative technologies, including the first wireless 4G service from a national carrier in the United States. In this role, Reid has responsibility for leading Sprint’s Community Affairs, Corporate Diversity and Inclusion, and Corporate Sustainability efforts. He also directs Sprint’s philanthropic activities as President of the Sprint Foundation.
Reid serves on the Boards of Trustees/Directors of Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, Kansas City Repertory Theater, Heart of America United Way, Greater KC Chamber of Commerce, Oakwood University, University of Missouri – Kansas City, and is Vice President of the Kansas City United Community Action Agency.
Reid has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oakwood University, Huntsville, AL. He also received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In May 2013, he received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
