Quentin Roach is Chief Procurement Officer & Senior Vice President – Global Procurement, External Manufacturing, Externalization, and Supplier Development & Performance Management at Merck & Co., Inc. In this role, Roach is responsible for companywide expenditures in excess of $17.5 billion, leadership of external manufacturing operations, implementation of supplier development & performance management processes, and productivity & cash conversion management improvement initiatives. Also, he oversees Merck’s Supplier Diversity processes which are focused on ensuring an inclusive environment for engagement of diverse and small businesses.

Roach was previously with Bristol-Myers Squibb as Senior Vice President & Chief Procurement Officer and prior with Bausch & Lomb Inc. Roach serves on the board of the National Black MBA Association, Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey College of Business – Advisory Board and the Network for Value Chain Excellence, and The Institute for Supply Management -Editorial Review Board.

Roach has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management of Technology from Arizona State University.
