The first major fashion magazine cover for the talented actress, Kerry Washington, has landed Elle magazine.
Washington will be featured in the June 2013 issue of the magazine.
She is seen posing in a sweet little black cardigan with slight embellishments, plaid black and silver high waist Marc Jacobs shorts with just a small peek-a-boo hint of a Carine Gilson Lingerie Couture bra.
Washington currently stars in the TV’s hottest ABC syndicated show Scandal. Not to mention the widely viewed film, Django that released earlier this year.
“I’m the luckiest broad in Hollywood now. To be the lead actor on Scandal and to be in the highest-earning Tarantino movie- I don’t get to ask for more,” said Washington.
The actress also co-starred in the recently released Tyler Perry film Peeples, a comedy that follows Craig Robinson who plays Wade Walker, a school singer, as he crashes the upper-crust Peeples’ family reunion to ask for his girlfriend’s father’s permission to take his daughter’s hand in marriage.
With all of the recent successes afforded to the actress, as well as her growing popularity, it is no surprise that Elle wanted to shoot her for the cover.
Washington is a Best-Dressed List regular and has a red carpet style that is enviably noticeable.
“I found out I enjoy the process. All these people show up at my house, they all have kits, someone has dresses. And it’s like, Let’s have fun. It’s not all about me. We’re able to create stories on the red carpet.” Washington spoke on the process of getting ready for red carpet events.
