Julia Brown is Chief Procurement Officer & Senior Vice President of Global Procurement for Mondelēz International following the split of Kraft Foods. At Kraft Foods, Julia was the Chief Procurement Office & Senior Vice President of Global Procurement since 2008 and was responsible for Kraft Foods’ worldwide purchases of all goods and services – estimated to be more than $30 billion dollars annually – and was leading a worldwide transformation of the company’s strategic sourcing function.
Brown began her career in procurement at Procter & Gamble in Toronto, Canada. She soon transitioned to P&G’s global headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1995, taking on new roles with increasing responsibilities. In 2001, Brown joined Diageo as Director of Integration where she co-led the procurement integration of the Seagram’s company.
Brown serves on the board of directors for the National Minority Supplier Development Council. She also serves as a trustee for the African American Experience Fund – a part of The National Parks – Department of the Interior of the United States Government.
Brown holds an honors Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from McMaster University.
