Stuart A. Taylor, II is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Taylor Group, a private equity firm that builds or acquires businesses in partnership with high potential entrepreneurs. Based in Chicago, the firm currently has eight major investments in its portfolio across a range of industries.
Prior to forming The Taylor Group in 2001, Taylor spent 19 years on Wall Street at firms including Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns. Taylor’s focus was Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions in sectors including transportation, capital goods, and consumer products.
For more than 20 years Taylor served on the Board of The Youth Guidance Agency – a Chicago based organization focused on improving the plight of at-risk public school children. At Youth Guidance he is Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee of nationally acclaimed Becoming A Man (“B.A.M.”) program.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
