Sharon Barner is Vice-President, Chief Administrative Officer, and Corporate Secretary for Cummins Inc., a fortune 200 global power solutions leader, with locations in 194 countries.
In this role, Sharon reports to the CEO and leads several of Cummins’ largest global functions, including legal, communications, marketing, government relations, compliance, facilities, security, global enterprise risk, ESG Strategy, Corporate Responsibility, Product Compliance & Regulatory Affairs and Cummins’ global business shared services organization.
Managing a budget of over $500M, she has driven year-over-year operational efficiency and significant cost synergies.
For nine months in 2022, Sharon also served as the interim Chief Human Resources Officer, leading compensation and benefits, right environment, HR technologies, line HR, talent management and diversity, equity, and inclusion functions for nearly 62,000 global employees.
Sharon serves as a director on public and private boards of Howmet, Aerospace, Inc.; Walker Innovations, Inc.; Syracuse University, and Eskenazi Health Foundation.
Sharon earned Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Syracuse University and a JD degree from the University of Michigan.
