Shari Slate serves as Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for CVS Health.
In this role, Slate is responsible for driving innovative solutions that ensure the company’s 300,000-strong workforce reflects the customers. She spearheads efforts to embed DE&I into the company’s business processes, workforce programs and community initiatives.
Slate comes to CVS Health after spending a decade at Cisco in critical DE&I roles. Shari was responsible for designing Cisco’s next horizon people strategy to deliver on the company’s commitment to power an inclusive future for all. Slate has been widely recognized for her visionary leadership and transformational views on the business value created at the intersection of diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and technology.
In addition, Shari helmed the creation of Cisco’s Inclusive Future Action Office, which managed a budget of $300 million.
Shari is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Systemic Inequalities and Social Cohesion, Business Roundtable: Diversity and Inclusion Working Group and World 50: Inclusion & Diversity Impact, and California State University Foundation Board of Directors.
Shari holds a B.A. degree in Political, Legal and Economic Analysis from Mills College.
