Seun Salami is Chief Financial Officer of Nuveen and a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team.
In this role, Salami leads the finance organization at Nuveen, and previously served as the Chief Financial Officer (interim) for the firm’s parent company, TIAA.
Salami joined TIAA, in May of 2018 as corporate controller, and later served as both TIAA’s Chief Accounting Officer and Principal Financial Officer of TIAA Real Estate Account.
An executive with successful track record of leading multifunctional teams from finance and operations to deliver results for global organizations, Salami joined TIAA/Nuveen from Jones Lang LaSalle Inc (JLL), a Fortune 500 global real estate company. Before his tenure at JLL, he was at Deloitte serving Fortune 500 clients, specializing in the insurance, asset management, and retail pharmacy sectors.
Salami is a board member of Terex Corporation (NYSE:TEX), CoreTrust, a Blackstone Company, and Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).
Salami graduated with a B.S. degree in Management and Accountancy from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from Ohio University, and an Executive Management Certificate from Columbia Business School. He is a CPA, licensed in Ohio and Illinois.
