Ruth Clements is the President, East Region at Quest Diagnostics, the world’s leading provider of diagnostic information services.
In this role, Ruth leads 5,000 employees who are providing patients with crucial diagnostic insights in seven states and DC, with hundreds of patient service centers and five regional labs, including Quest’s next-generation lab in Clifton, NJ.
Previously as Vice President & General Manager of the Infectious Disease and Immunology franchise, Ruth was instrumental in the COVID-19 response for Quest. She was the founding leader of the Quest for Health Equity initiative, a philanthropic effort with the Quest Foundation backed with over $100 million in financial and testing resources to reduce health disparities in underserved communities.
Ruth has been a catalyst for change throughout her career, while always keeping the patient at the center of everything she does. Prior to Quest, she served in various leadership positions within the pharmaceutical industry at Novartis, Bayer, Acorda, Organon and Allergan. Ruth serves on the board of the Joi Life Foundation whose mission is to transform neuroscience through innovation and education to improve health equity.
Ruth holds an MSc degree in Pharmacy from University of Utrecht (The Netherlands).
