Peter Blair Henry is the Former Dean, Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. Henry was the youngest person to hold his former position and, to date, had raised over $200 million, more than any dean in the school’s history.
An expert on the global economy, Henry led the external economic advisory group for then Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Following the 2008 election, he led the Presidential Transition Team’s review of the IMF and World Bank. Additionally, Henry is a Board Member of the National Bureau of Economic Research, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Economic Club of New York. Awarded the Foreign Policy Association Medal in 2015, Henry is the author of Turnaround: Third World Lessons for First World Growth (Basic, 2013).
Henry earned Bachelor’s degrees from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and a PhD in Economics from MIT.
