In 1986, Winfrey launched Harpo, Inc. and currently oversees OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, the print and digital content of “Oprah Daily,” film and television content from Harpo Productions and her imprint An Oprah Book. In 2015, Winfrey joined the WW board of directors and in 2020 launched a nationwide arena tour “Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus.”
A dedicated philanthropist, Winfrey has donated over $400 million, much of which is focused on youth education and supporting underserved communities. Winfrey was a founding donor of the Smithsonian’s National Museum for African American History and Culture in 2004 and was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013.
