Netha Johnson is President of Albemarle’s Specialties global business unit for Albemarle, who leads the world in transforming essential resources into critical ingredients for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health. They partner to pioneer new ways to move, power, connect and protect with people and planet in mind.

As President of Albemarle Specialties, Johnson is responsible for leading the continued success of the global business unit, while ensuring it supports the company’s overall growth strategy.

In addition, Netha is also responsible for the company’s IT Digital Transformation journey, which includes optimizing Albemarle’s entire IT technology and processes to enable the company’s transition to a digital enabled organization.

Netha also serves on the board of directors of Xcel Energy, a leading provider of clean, renewable energy. Preceding his business career, Johnson served as a U.S. Naval Special Operations Officer.

Johnson speaks Mandarin and German and holds an Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
