Michael Johnson is Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer for IDEXX, a publicly traded, Fortune 1000 animal health diagnostics company. IDEXX operates in 175 countries with approximately 10,000 employees.
During his career, Michael has worked on five continents and lived in 4 countries.
Prior to IDEXX, Michael was the Global Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Abbott. Michael also served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Abbott’s diabetes business, based in Alameda, California.
In this role, he was responsible for HR across the globe, and provided the human resources leadership to successfully help the business grow.
During his tenure at Abbott, Michael received multiple awards for his achievements. Most notably Abbott’s Chairman’s Award, the highest honor in the company, and the HR Professional of the Year Award, the highest honor for HR leaders in the company.
Michael is currently serving on the Board of the Portland Symphony Orchestra and is on the Advsory Board of the Founders Residence program at the Roux Institute.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he received an undergraduate degree in Organizational Administration.
