Monique Hunt McWilliams is the Assistant General Counsel supporting the HR organization and is a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team at Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly).

 

In this role, she counsels on numerous aspects of employment law, including providing counsel on Lilly’s diversity and inclusion efforts, the benefit and absence management policies, and the business development and merger & acquisition practices.

 

In 2013, Hunt McWilliams was named Chief Diversity Officer at Eli Lilly and Company and during her four-year tenure in that role, she worked closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and the HR function to drive a comprehensive agenda to improve diversity and inclusion globally.

 

Hunt McWilliams has been recognized for her commitment and advocacy for diversity within the legal profession, receiving the Pepper Hamilton 2009 Champion of Diversity Award.

 

In 2014, Hunt McWilliams was named by the Indianapolis Public Schools Education Foundation to the IPS Alumni Hall of Fame for inspiring current IPS students to set goals for success.

 

Hunt McWilliams serves on the Board of Directors for Second Helpings, a nonprofit focused on hunger relief. Hunt McWilliams has a law degree from Indiana University.
