Monica Bankston is currently the Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Pure Storage, a global tech company based in Mountain View, CA. With over 5,000 employees worldwide, Pure Storage is a key player in the solid-state storage array market. Monica has nearly thirty years of experience in Human Resources in the financial services, retail, manufacturing, and tech industries.
Prior to her role leading DEI at Pure Storage, Monica spent some time as the Global Director of Diversity & Inclusion for Coca Cola North America where she was responsible for DEI strategy and the company’s Business Resource Groups (BRGs).
Before joining Coca Cola, she worked several years as the Global Diversity & Inclusion Officer for Corning Incorporated in Corning, NY. She has also led HR initiatives for Walmart, Inc. and at Bank of America during her time there.
Monica is a member of the board for The Rockwell Museum and the Cosmopolitan Women’s Club in Corning, NY, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Monica has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Montreat College and a Master’s of Science in Organizational Change and Leadership from Pfeiffer University.
