Lynnette D. Espy-Williams is a Member of Cozen O’Connor’s Commercial Litigation Department and currently serves as the firm’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and the Office Managing Partner of the Washington, DC office.

Espy-Williams has a national practice representing a wide variety of clients in complex litigation. Her experience in the commercial litigation industry is widely recognized as she has acted as lead counsel in many complex commercial litigation matters and routinely speaks on issues of import in the industry.

Espy-Williams is the former President of the Gate City Bar Association, the oldest African-American bar association in the state of Georgia and previously served as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law.

Beyond her work with Cozen O’Connor, Espy-Williams has used her legal background and leadership skills for the betterment of the community and spends a significant amount of time participating in various pro bono activities.

Espy-Williams was recently named Graduate of the Year by the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law’s Black Law Students Association and was awarded the Diversity in Business award by the Washington Business Chronicle.
