Leonard Brinson, Jr. is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for South Jersey Industries (SJI).

In this role, Brinson provides strategic guidance, leadership, and direct oversight at the corporate level for all technology and business information system initiatives for SJI and its subsidiaries. Brinson is also responsible for the advancement and sustainment of the corporate infrastructure and network for new technology initiatives ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our technology platforms.

Brinson joined SJI as vice president and chief technology officer in 2017 and was appointed to his current role in 2021. Brinson also serves on the Senior Leadership Team where he drives the corporate strategy to ensure continued growth across the business.

Brinson serves on the Board of Trustees for Millikin University and the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. He is also a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE). He previously served as Board President for the Simon Estes Educational Foundation.

Brinson is an alumnus of Millikin University, where he received his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Government and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration, focused in Management and Operations, from Jacksonville University.
