Jacob Pruitt is President of Fidelity Charitable, where he leads the nation’s largest grantmaker in its mission to make charitable giving accessible, simple and effective. The Fidelity Charitable donor-advised fund program currently enables more than a quarter million donors of all backgrounds and income levels to increase their charitable impact. Fidelity Charitable has granted more than $61 billion through its donor-advised fund program to over 357,000 nonprofit organizations since 1991.
Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, Jacob led T. Rowe Price Charitable and Workplace Investor businesses, responsible for the firm’s donor-advised fund and institutional rollover retention strategy. He also has served as head of distribution for institutional asset management for The Vanguard Group, and in key roles at Fidelity Investments and Bankers Trust Company. With a passion for education and economic development, Jacob serves on several nonprofit boards, including the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance, the University of Colorado Foundation and the Colorado Springs Health Foundation.
Jacob is a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He graduated from Tennessee State University and the Stanford University Business School Executive Management Program.
