Helena Haynes-Carter is the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for KeyBank. In this role, Helena is responsible for organizing and aligning strategic priorities, tactics, messaging, plus operating rhythms for the DE&I space throughout Key and the communities they serve.
Helena began her career as a Statistician at Standard & Poor’s Compustat. Across healthcare, financial services, energy, and public sector industries she has built a track record of success in workforce, community, customer, plus supplier diversity.
Helena has also held past roles at organizations including Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council, Xcel Energy, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, plus Colorado’s Regional Transportation District.
Helena’s mantra of “real work delivers real results” applies to 25 years of board service in communities and non-profit organizations including as a gubernatorial appointee to the State of Colorado’s Minority Business Office. Helena currently serves on the board of the Diversity Center for Northeast Ohio plus National INROADS.
Helena holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder plus an MBA in Change Management and Leadership.
