Genevievette Walker-Lightfoot is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Hedonova, an alternative investment hedge fund with an AUM exceeding $700 million.

Walker-Lightfoot has been instrumental regarding the U.S. expansion of the company. And she has been a strategic key business partner across the global operations of the company since joining the fund.

Walker-Lightfoot is notably the only former regulator who was uniquely skilled to detect Bernard Madoff’s multi-billion dollar fraud prior to him turning himself in to the authorities.

Walker-Lightfoot is a veteran employee of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve Board, FINRA and the American Stock Exchange, whereby she gained over 10 years of experience.

Walker-Lightfoot played a pivotal role in the Federal Reserve’s response to the bank sponsored fund meltdown during the height of the recent global financial crisis.

Walker-Lightfoot earned her law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, an MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland at College Park and earned a B.A. degree in Government from Georgetown University.
