Gena Ashe is the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary (“CLO”) of Adtalem Global Education. In this capacity, she is a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to its CEO, and has responsibility for leading the organization’s global legal strategy, including serving as the strategic business partner and advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on all corporate initiatives.
Prior to joining Adtalem, Ashe has held executive level legal roles for several corporations, including a KKR portfolio company, Darden Restaurants, Lucent Technologies and PBS. Ashe is currently a member of the Board of Directors for XPO Logistics, Inc. and XPO Logistics Europe SA. She also serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Black MBA Association, serves on the Board of Trustees for Spelman College and the Board of Advisors for the Georgetown University Law Center.
Ashe holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Physics from Spelman College.
