Debora A. Plunkett is Chief Executive Officer at Plunkett Associates LLC, where she provides consultation on cybersecurity, information assurance and management topics.
Plunkett retired from the U. S. National Security Agency (NSA) after a 31-year career in which she served in multiple positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Information Assurance, where she led efforts to develop and deliver cybersecurity solutions for the U. S. government. From 2000 to 2001, she served as Director for the Office of Transnational Threats at the National Security Council of The White House.
Plunkett serves as a senior fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center and is a professor of cybersecurity at the University of Maryland.
Plunkett has a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University, a Master of Science in Business from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from National War College and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
