Damion Purfey is Global Director of Inclusion and Diversity for Itron.
In this role, Purfey serves as a catalyst fueling a “human-centric” inclusion journey. As Itron’s first Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) leader, Purfey is helping advance Itron’s ambition to nurture an increasingly inclusive and diverse workplace and workforce where a sense of belonging is ever present, while continuing to extend inclusion and diversity into the supplier, community, and marketplace.
Purfey brings together key functions and business units globally to understand I&D readiness and maturity, established I&D goals and programs and an overall I&D business governance model.
With a fresh, modern approach to I&D, Purfey endeavors to craft increasingly more sophisticated human-centric inclusion initiatives that strive to work for all employees. Additionally, Purfey serves as an I&D thought leader inside and outside of Itron on all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), bringing innovative ideas and best practices back to the company.
Purfey dedicates volunteer time to community organizations like the YMCA and UNCF.
Purfey holds an MBA from Ashland University, M.S. degree from Ohio University and B.S. degree from Wright State University.
