Curley M. Dossman, Jr. is President of the Georgia-Pacific Foundation and Vice President of Community Affairs at Georgia-Pacific. He oversees all the company’s community-based programs nationwide and the foundation’s philanthropic giving. In his dual roles, he works closely with Chief Executive Officer Christian Fischer, other company executives and civic leaders in Atlanta and across the country.
Prior to joining GP in late 1994, Curley was State Vice President, government affairs for AT&T, where he was responsible for representing that corporation’s interests in the legislative, regulatory and industry relations areas. A native of Louisiana, Curley served for several years as legislative assistant and special assistant for U.S. Senator Russell B. Long (Louisiana).
Curley’s many Board affiliations include,100 Black Men of America (Immediate Past International Board Chair), Youth Entrepreneurs (Board of Directors), National Center for Civil and Human Rights (Board of Directors), Metro Atlanta YMCA, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (Board of Directors) and Atlanta Committee for Progress, Community and Government Affairs Advisory Council.
Curley received a Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College and a law degree from Washington University School of Law.
