Courtney Schroeder serves as Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at General Mills.
In his current role, Courtney leads initiatives under the workforce and consumer inclusion pillars of the company’s global inclusion strategy. This includes spearheading racial equity efforts, designing enterprise-wide initiatives around unconscious bias and importance of diversity on teams, and providing thought leadership on behalf of the center of excellence.
In 2018, Courtney led the planning of the first ever General Mills Employee Network Summit bringing together over 700 employees from the company’s six corporate employee networks for two days of professional development and community building.
Prior to joining Diversity & Inclusion in 2018, Courtney held a number of marketing positions including within the cereal operating unit where he launched new products including Girl Scouts Thin Mint and Caramel Crunch, Blueberry Chex, and Annie’s Organic Cereals.
Courtney earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business and is a proud alum of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.
