Christopher S. Auguste counsels and represents clients in the private placement or public offering of debt and equity securities. Among his notable work, Chris served as U.S. securities counsel for Canadian issuers of certificates backed by Canadian commercial mortgaged properties.

 

Chris also advised several sponsors in the formation of a U.S. and Cayman Island long-short hedge fund with a modified mini master-feeder structure. He represented multiple Canadian issuers of certificates backed by commercial mortgage properties, which certificates were offered in both Canada and the United States. He represented the purchasing agent in the public offering of up to $100 million aggregate principal amount of solar bonds issued by a U.S. public corporation.

 

Chris currently serves on the Board of Goddard Riverside Community Center and YouthBridge-NY. He is the President and an alumnus of the Wadleigh Scholars Program.

 

Chris has authored, co-authored and edited numerous publications. He received the New York State Bar Association’s Diversity Trailblazer Award (2016) and Brooklyn Law School’s Outstanding Civic Leadership Award (2011).

 

Chris earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his A.B. (magna cum laude) from Harvard College.
