Chima Enyia is the Executive Vice President of Social Equity and Educational Development (SEED) at Cresco Labs; a multi-state cannabis company and the #1 U.S. wholesaler of branded cannabis products. Cresco Labs’ SEED initiative addresses the absence of people, businesses and communities disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs in the cannabis industry.
Enyia heads a dynamic team and drives Cresco Labs’ vision and strategy focused on restorative justice, entrepreneurship, education, and workforce development. SEED’s ongoing efforts include justice-oriented partnerships, expungement and record sealing initiatives, lobbying to change drug laws, providing financial and technical resources to support Black- and Latinx-owned cannabis and ancillary businesses, and establishing partnerships with diverse educational institutions to prepare students for careers in cannabis.
Enyia received a Senior Executives in State and Local Government certificate from Harvard Kennedy School. His recognitions include Crain’s Chicago Business “2021 Notable Black Leaders Executives” and WVON & Ariel Investments “2018 Top 40 Game Changers Under 40.”
Enyia graduated from Lewis University with Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Political Science.
