Allen Reid is Chief Human Resources Officer for Materion Corporation.
In this role, Reid leads Materion’s human resources and global security organization, which drives the Company’s human capital strategy to ensure the company has the talent and organizational capability to achieve its global growth goals. In this role, he is responsible for talent acquisition and development, total rewards, performance management, organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion and the security of the Company’s people and assets.
Prior to Materion, Reid served as Vice President, Human Resources and Global Security Services for Raytheon Missile Systems. Prior to Raytheon, he was a corporate and labor law attorney with Maupin Taylor PA. He also spent several years with General Electric in Finance and Business Development.
Reid is a Senior Certified HR Professional (SHRM-SCP). He serves on the non-profit board of the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (“NIMS”) and on the Alumni Board of the University of Illinois School of Labor and Employment Relations.
Reid holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia, a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oakwood University.
