The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) appoints Jason Brown to its Board of Directors. ACC is the world’s largest organization dedicated to in-house counsel, with more than 45,000 members in 85 countries.

ACC has a strong reputation for developing legal professionals, and I cannot wait to bring my energy to those efforts,” said Jason Brown, General Counsel, GE Appliances. “In addition, I look forward to assisting ACC in striving for a more inclusive and diverse profession. I have been an active ambassador for ACC for quite some time and will continue to do so as a board member in helping the association achieve its vision and objectives.”
As vice president and general counsel at GE Appliances (GEA), Jason serves as the company’s principal legal officer with overall responsibility for the vision and leadership of global legal strategy and services, as well as the management of legal risk throughout the organization. As a member of the senior management team, Jason serves as legal counsel and advisor to the executive team.
Prior to joining GEA, Jason was the vice president and general counsel of Dyson, Inc. based in Chicago, IL. Before Dyson, Jason held various senior level positions within the legal teams at MillerCoors, LLC and Pepsi Beverages Company. In addition, he served as the first executive director and general counsel for the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms. Jason began his career in private practice in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN.
Jason received his undergraduate and law degrees from Howard University in Washington D.C. He serves on the Board of Directors of Legal Prep Charter Academy.
