Emery K. Harlan, Equity Partner and founder of MWH Law Group, is an accomplished litigator with more than 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer and a renowned advocate for greater inclusion in the legal profession.

Harlan focuses his practice on complex litigation, with a focus on commercial, employment and healthcare litigation. He also represents major governmental entities in complex affirmative litigation.

Harlan serves as General Counsel of the Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus and is a longstanding Board Member of Pro Health—a leading health system in Wisconsin.

He also Co-Founded The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF)—one of this country’s leading organizations focused on achieving greater inclusion within the legal profession.

Harlan earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin and immediately thereafter completed a federal judicial clerkship for the late George Clifton Edwards of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
