Kevin F. Warren is the Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference. The first Commissioner who is African American, he is also the first in any of the major American student-sports conferences in history.
Warren was previously the Chief Operating Officer of the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League, and was the highest-ranking African American executive working on the business side for an NFL team. Warren became the first African American Chief Operating Officer of an NFL team.
Prior to the Vikings, Warren worked for the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig, playing a critical leadership role with the Wilf Ownership Group deal team during the acquisition of the Minnesota Vikings.
Warren was inducted into the W.P. Carey School of Business Alumni Hall of Fame at Arizona State University.
Warren holds an undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University, an MBA from Arizona State University and a his Juris Doctor from University of Notre Dame Law School.
