Melvin (Mel) Flowers serves as the North American Transaction Contracting Legal Lead for Accenture’s Products Operating Group (OG). Mel is a technology lawyer and people leader. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and a qualified English Solicitor with broad global legal and management experience. He has held several legal roles and responsibilities in his 10+ years at Accenture.
Prior to his current role, Mel was responsible for leading the Global Alliance and Technology Resale Legal Teams and for providing legal support to Accenture’s Global Delivery Network, various Accenture affiliate businesses and global outsourcing offerings. Prior to Accenture, he spent close to 14 years at AT&T.
Mel serves on the Board of the Edward G. Irvin Foundation, is an Advisory Member of Forward (an initiative to advance corporate counsel of color) and is a member of various Bar Associations, including the Law Society of England & Wales.
Mel is a champion for education, mentoring, inclusion and diversity and is a winner of the Chicago Apple Seed Pro Bono Champion Award. Mel received his B.S. in Marketing from Bradley University and holds a Juris Doctor from the IITChicago Kent College of Law.
