Adrian Mebane is Deputy General Counsel and Vice President, Global Commercial & Supply Chain for Hershey. He sets strategic direction for the global commercial and supply chain functions within the legal organization. Mebane is a first-line trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on strategic, commercial, legal, regulatory, geopolitical and compliance matters.

 

Prior to Hershey, Mebane was Associate General Counsel, Ethics & Compliance at Weatherford. He was Counsel in the White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement Practice at Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, D.C. before joining Weatherford. Mebane also served as a federal prosecutor in the Fraud Section for the U.S. Department of Justice, where he investigated and prosecuted criminal matters involving complex legal issues. He began his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County in Chicago, during which Mebane prosecuted high-profile felony matters and argued before the Illinois Appellate Court.

 

Mebane holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law. During law school, he was a legal intern in the chambers of The Honorable Eric H. Holder, former Attorney General of the United States.
